The Foundation was created on October 11, 2006, exactly 153 years from the first day of the first Illinois State Fair held in Springfield. The Illinois State Fair Museum Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, and is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors.
The Illinois State Fair Museum is located in Springfield, Illinois on the Illinois State Fairgrounds in the North End of the Grandstand. We are open 10-8 all ten days of the Illinois State Fair.
The Illinois State Fair is a tradition any Illinoisan can be proud of, and the Illinois State Fair Museum Foundation is dedicated to continuing that legacy.
